Last Wednesday's Council Meeting might be a shocker to some. That is unless you have watched this administration and the lack luster performances of Scull, Stinney, Allen & Cartier.
Believe it or Not, they SHOT DOWN a permit for a demonstration to bring awareness to cruelty to Circus animals.
We have a Circus coming to Town on June 19th. NO ONE stated the Circus coming to Pemberton Twp. has or does abused their animals.
However, anyone with any knowledge of Circus life knows MOST of their animals live a life in cramped cages, OFTEN abused or neglected.
Please note: I again STRESS, I am NOT saying this group of Circus performers abuse or neglect their animals.
THE POINT: We have been given the RIGHT to demonstrate in our BILL of RIGHTS
WHO do these Council members think they are?
I am appalled, disgusted, but NOT surprised, this is just par for the course for this Council. Could it be because the Circus is being brought to Town by our Lion's Club? One of our most influential Clubs in Town. Could it be because Patriarca, Cartier and Scull are members of this Club?
I repeat: We have been given the RIGHT to demonstrate in our BILL of RIGHTS
SAD-VERY SAD!

It's a recreation activity. It may not be directly PT sponsored, but we wouldn't want anyone to upset the kiddies, right?
BTW, many people own pets that are in cages, and some are abused or neglected. You don't hear much boo-frikkity-hoo about that. Some folks that sponsor PETA have caged birds. Sounds a little double-standardized. I'm not for limiting constitutional rights. I say let them protest, and let people challenge their facts and comments. It's strange that they want to protest animal rights while babies are being mutilated inside their mothers, and they don't give a rat's whiskers about that.

I really don't get why you need a permit to peaceably assemble. Things are going to hell all over and we need to fix it from the ground up. Mr.Rich, currently in self imposed exile from The Libtard Command Center....Ha Ha....too funny!
Lets not forget that we do have an active SPCA in our county. Instead of protesting the circus why not contact the SPCA and see if they can get someone there to check on the animals to make sure there is no cruelty or abuse. I happen to know they would be more than happy to assist.

You missed the point. It is about our RIGHT to assemble. Try to focus on the topic please.
When I used to take part in pro-life demonstrations, we didn't need to get a permit. We used to show up with our signs and an off-duty police officer that we hired for OUR protection. We had two video cameras to document everything. As long as you don't block traffic, driveways or trespass, you are OK. From what we were told, public property is considered 11 feet from the curb on main streets. I don't know if that varies from Marlton & Cherry Hill, but the police there concurred when we discussed this with them on several occasions. BTW, I was never arrested or run off by police.
