Front Page on a Monday, not as news worthy as the Sunday paper. The article is full of BS. $2.4 million between 3 organizations in tax dollars since 1980, pretty cheap for a service that was vital to the communities. Funds for service rendered. I seen that the Browns Mills Fire Company has received financial assistance since their creation. Let me just say that this is going to cost the Taxpayers. If you remember, the Mayor stated this whole consolidation thing was to save money, now he wants to renovate a building, add another to the township inventory and sell the third. Realistically in my opinion, this is all smoke and mirrors from the Mayor. He will sell the PL building and grounds and have an agreement with Woodland Township for service. Let me just say I do know that PLFRS planned on doing the right thing for the residents and did submit a proposal to the Mayor. Wait he did not say he would or would not accept the proposal and the Administration went and filed the suit. The Presidential Lakes Fire & Rescue Squad are going to continue providing services for the community (Operation Santa, Egg Hunt, July 4th Parade and more). We will continue in our endeavor to bring local emergency services back to the community. If the Mayor did not accept our proposal we had another plan to turn our building into a community center and the new organization would have offered to lease space to the Township to house fire apparatus also.
That's what a statist does. The goal is to expand gov't and confiscate wealth to pay for it. America is in a sad condition, and this township is just a microcosm of the big problem.
